Mate or Mate?

What to do at 31.12. if you are the last days of marathon-running moderately through the city? It is resting for the evening and drink comfortably Mate.
The (unofficial) South Africa's national drink is made of finely cut leaves of yerba and sugar that is infused with hot water. Actually the name of the plant from which it makes the drink mate, but the South Americans have adapted a little and give the drink and the plant now so Yerba. ;-)
The preparation is relatively simple and the Ingredients are found in Argentina in every corner. In the Calabaza (the drinking vessel, which was once mostly made from a gourd), the dry leaves are layered with sugar, Bombilla put into this mix (a metal Rörchen with lattice or other passage that leaves them posterior is to be drunk), and all infused with hot water. Was all drunk, you can pour the material several times and it is served in turn. It is not only a drink but a social event. ^ _ ^ If it tastes sometime after no more, you have the Yerba change and everything goes from the beginning. Something like this can work for hours. ,-D Buenos Aires (3)
Both Calabaza, Bombilla and entire sets of materials and sugar storage you see regularly on the streets of Argentina. At least 80% of the population drink once a week mate. There are great souvenirs from Argentina, they come in all shapes and colors. The Yerba come in different flavors - our favorite was orange. ;-) Procuring the materials sheets in Europe is quite expensive.
We therefore enjoy our last day in the year 2010 with a Mate and the sunny view of Buenos Aires.
The Fleich for Asado already waiting in the fridge to be grilled by the evening. ;-)

And with every band I recognized the deteriorating writing style, the totally stupid story and ultimately disastrous end.

Day 12 - A book that you have friends / friend / ... recommended get paid
A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin : A Fantasy saga of epic proportions, High Fantasy at its finest. I have been waiting for ages, but it finally let go. All that I love ... But let's start with duck and Pippi. ;-)

Day 27 - A book whose main character your "ideal" is
also very difficult, because strangely enough I can not micht So remember the characteristics of individuals but only to the story. Who do I but great find is Sonea (* yay * Magic FTW!) and Auraya (devotees are as cool if they (mad) gods as partners). Both of Trudi Canavan. Lyra list Reich as my years of heroine. And my absolute favorite, because just totally crazy: purple, half-man half-robot killer with an elf rock star and a demon prince as her lover. What, does it work? Oh yes! Has let myself fall out of my diehard fantasy flops. ;-) (. But attention from Part 3 is only more confused)

Day 28 - Fortunately this book was filmed!
The Lord of the Rings JRR Tolkien: Please blows me away now, but I love the movie more like the book (which does not mean that the book is bad ;-)). I know that some sections were not filmed, but I like to do without the lengthy passages of the book, so I can see the incredible movie!

Day 29 - Why the hell was this book a movie?
There is really no easy answer for me. I really like books about everything, but I can eigendlich to almost any fantasy film (and mainly those books I ^ _ ^) say no. So even if the film should be bad, I'm still very happy one see character that has grown with his heart, a landscape that I could not imagine so beautiful ...
